About LIMC & the Editor

So, you’ve just graduated college, moved to a brand new city to start a new career with no friends or family, no idea where to go, what to do or how to dress. What have you gotten yourself into??

That was the same question Nikki Roberson, the owner and editor of LipstickInMyCoffee, asked herself four years ago. In 2011, two weeks after graduating from college, Nikki received a phone call from powerhouse media brand, CBS Radio offering her a job. Despite her disposition(leaving family, very little “city-life” experience & low funds), she did what any other determined young woman would do…she packed her things and relocated with nothing but hope, faith and a will to succeed.

Nikki is a graduate of Troy University, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Public Relations. With CBS Radio, Nikki has had the opportunity to build marketing campaigns for companies such as Macy’s, Tease Hair Salon, Hillmuth Automotive and Annapolis Lighting just to name a few. She is also a former Baltimore Ravens Cheerleader.

Now that Nikki is all settled in, she wants to share the wealth of knowledge she’s gained from her experience, hence the birth of LipstickInMyCoffee.

LipstickInMyCoffee is a Washington, DC based blog for the young, trendy, vibrant millennial woman who’s driven by the adventures of finding success one step at a time while dressed to the nine.
